Situ Balancing
If requirements are met, it is possible to balance a lot of assets in-situ, preventing significant downtime and costs of removal of the rotating element. We don’t just leave an asset ‘just in spec’, we go the extra mile to try and make your asset run as best as possible. Experienced analysts on balancing jobs ensure that if there are other factors affecting your asset, we will help to identify the cause and give recommendations.
To situ balance, there must be control of the asset, including a safe place to fully isolate. There must also be access to one or two correction planes (depending on the type of imbalance), sufficient to allow welding equipment or a hand-drill in. Finally, there must be a means to correct the imbalance (i.e. some assets may require on site welding technicians, some may be bolted-on)

Workshop Balancing
If the rotating element is being removed, it can be balanced in our workshop balancing machine, located in our Wirral workshop. We balance all rotors where possible to less than G1. Our experienced workshop balancing engineer of over 35 years has experience in balancing a huge variety of types of rotating elements.
Our machine/s can balance anywhere from 1kg all the way to 2200kg, and a variety of lengths, configurations, rotor types. Please contact us if you are unsure whether your rotor can be balanced in our workshop machine.
